Foundation Course

Major Learning Outcomes:  What players should focus on to make the right decisions faster.  Tools for maximizing the rates of learning and retention of sports skills and plays.  How to coach the most important drills for improving athletic (movement) speed on any surface.  Maximizing performance through efficient and effective warm-ups.

Duration: 2 days

Cognitive Speed

Major Learning Outcomes: Building on the Foundation Course, participants learn how to scrutinize video and data to gain advantages against real-world dynamic opponents (rather than theoretical statistical simulations that rarely pan out).  Strategies for  optimizing the cognitive performance of players on game-day are also addressed in detail.

Technical Speed 

Major Learning Outcomes:  Tips for enhancing the execution speed of any sports-specific skill.  Applied methods for maximizing the effectiveness and efficiency of technical practices.  Speed-based positional techniques* to gain an advantage over opponents.

Duration: 1-2 days depending on the sport (some sport-specific versions available*)

Athletic Speed – Running, Stopping, Cutting & Jumping

Major Learning Outcomes:  Exercises and drills for improving athletic speed in three dimensions as it relates to the player moving from point A to B (to C, D, E…) that build upon those learned in the Foundation Course.  With both performance enhancement and injury prevention in mind, participants also learn how to prioritize, progress, and periodize the various exercises based on season, sport, and individual capabilities of the players.

Duration: 3 days 

Location: Classroom, weight room, and Court/Track/Field

Major Learning Outcomes:  Both performance enhancement and injury prevention are given attention as exercises and drills for improving athletic speed –as it relates to launching a projectile or striking an opponent– are presented.  Participants also learn how to prioritize, progress, and periodize the various exercises based on season, sport, and individual capabilities of the players.  

Duration: 2 days

Integration Course

Major Learning Outcomes:  As the name suggests, participants learn how to bring together material from the entire curriculum to optimally develop players over the long term.  Techniques for managing a large roster of players in various stages of their athletic careers are explained.  Likewise, methods for juggling technical and tactical practices with S&C, travel, and the (seemingly competing) requests of the performance team members are provided.

Duration: 4 days
